ESG & Investment Management -

Research Newsletter

I’m a licensed CPA with 10 years of experience practicing across the public and private sectors where I’ve helped clients resolve complex accounting problems in accounting, finance, and information systems. As an independent researcher and prospective PhD candidate, I’m currently pursuing interdisciplinary research in the field of accounting related to shareholder activism, information disclosure, and financial economics.

Through empirical research considering the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principles of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), I will be exploring how corporate boards make decisions as ESG becomes more prevalent amongst the broader investing public.

My research objectives include:

1.) measuring the effects of ESG disclosure on financial market outcomes and analysts behaviors,

2.) understanding how stakeholder capitalism affects corporate strategy & organizational behavior, and

3.) leveraging archival ESG datasets to inform accounting standard setting & economic regulatory policy.

This newsletter includes my thoughts on current research, relevant news, and other emerging topics. Check it out below!
